The Role
We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our social media department and take ownership of day-to-day content, strategy, and community management across a portfolio of client accounts. This role is part creator, part strategist, part project manager — and fully accountable for the quality of what goes out the door.
You will work alongside our PR and account teams to make sure social media tells the right story for each client, on the right platform, at the right time. You know Instagram and TikTok inside out. You know what performs on LinkedIn and why Facebook still matters for certain audiences. And you stay current on what's changing, not because someone asked you to, but because you find it interesting.
What You'll Do
Content Creation
Shoot and edit photo and video content for client accounts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Edit short-form video with a real eye for pacing, sound, and storytelling, not just trimming clips
Write captions that sound like each client, not like a template
Build shot lists and creative briefs for planned shoots
Design graphics and assets in Canva that stop the scroll
Stay on top of platform trends — formats, sounds, features — and actually use them
Platform & Account Management
Own the social media strategy for your assigned accounts with support from Account Directors
Build and manage monthly content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn — themes, formats, cadence, and campaign moments
Schedule and publish content using Metricool
Keep clients informed and confident — responsive communication, no surprises
Work with the PR team to make sure social and earned media are telling the same story
Flag when something isn't working and come with a plan, not just a problem
Influencer & Partnership Management
Manage AM Group's micro and local influencer programs across client accounts — from identification and outreach to contract coordination and campaign execution
Build and maintain an active influencer roster for relevant client categories
Brief influencers clearly, track deliverables, and report on campaign performance
Identify organic partnership opportunities between clients and local creators or community figures
Community Management
Monitor and engage with audiences across all managed platforms — comments, DMs, mentions, tags, and reviews
Respond in each client's voice, not a generic one
Surface user-generated content opportunities and put them to use
Manage online review monitoring where it's in scope
Analytics & Reporting
Track performance across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn using Metricool and native platform tools
Report on engagement, reach, follower growth, video views, saves — and what they actually mean
Deliver monthly reports that include real takeaways and a clear recommendation for what's next
Use the data to make better content decisions, not just to fill a report
Team & Client Collaboration
Work with Account Coordinators and interns — give clear direction and help them get better
Share what you're learning about platforms and trends with the broader team
Show up to client meetings prepared and confident — this is a client-facing role
What We’re Looking For
Experience
3–5 years managing social media in an agency or multi-client environment
Deep, working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn — how each platform works, who uses it, and what performs
Hands-on content creation experience — you can shoot, direct, and edit, not just plan and schedule
Experience managing influencer programs — outreach, briefs, tracking, and reporting
Strong copywriting with the ability to hold different brand voices across different clients
Proficient in Metricool or a comparable scheduling and analytics platform
Comfortable in Canva; Adobe Suite experience is a strong plus
Organized enough to run multiple accounts without things slipping
Comfortable presenting your work and defending your thinking in a client meeting
